The inventor started designing a real "tortilla warmer"; that is one that continues adding heat to tortillas since he realized tortillas cannot store much heat themselves and is useless to try to simply insulate them (They are very light and do not have much thermal mass).

While designing the tortilla warmer he realized too that he had the technology to develop the best plates in the world so he developed HotSmart Hot Plates which keep food hot and are excellent tortilla warmers.

Do you know the story of the dog that was sleeping under the sun and was dreaming that he was a man sleeping under the sun who was dreaming he was a dog sleeping under...?  Later the poor dog could not decide if he was a man or a dog.

Oh my God! where did I study marketing? Nowhere; anyway HotSmart Hot Plates are also tortilla warmers, bread warmers and can be used to keep warm anything you want on the table.

Can be used for flour tortillas (which don't fit in a common "tortilla warmer")

I'm not going to lie to you; yes, my initial intention was to design a tortilla warmer because I hate cold tortillas, the first question was: How do I store enough heat very fast? So, I developed and patented a very efficient heat storage device, then I realized it was better to introduce to the market a plate because everybody uses plates (The market is much larger), finally after that I realized the plate is an excellent Tortilla warmer

Flour tortillas don't fit and there is no source of heat

(Why do they call them "warmers"?)

Anyway, we may design in the future something that looks like a tortilla warmer but...
